Our Events

Club Championship

Our Club Championship is a stroke event and is played over three rounds in August, September and November. The best two rounds from the three counts towards players overall total. The player with the lowest total is then deemed to be the Club Champion for that year.

Kalenic Cup

The Kalenic Cup is a Stableford event played over two rounds during the Australia Day weekend and St Sava festival. The player who finishes with the highest Stableford score is deemed to be the Kalenic Cup Champion for that year. This event attracts golfers from interstate due to the festive occasion.

Slobodan Mirkovic National Championship

Early in 2004, members from the Serbian Golf Club Geelong and Golden Eagles Social Golf Club competed individually during the Kalenic Cup in Canberra. After this event the two Clubs got together and decided to start a new competition. An event that competed State against State. The Interstate Championship was born and was first played at Merimbula Golf Club in 2004. Since then, South Australia, Western Australia and the Australia Capital Territory have joined the competition and compete every year changing venues across Australia.

Svetislav Mitrovic Shield

The Svetislav Mitrovic Shield is a Stableford event played between our club and the Golden Eagles Social Golf Club from Sydney in memory of Svetislav Mitrovic. Svetislav was a member of the Golden Eagles Social Golf Club who loved his golf and most all the company that he played with. Svetislav passed away in 2009 at the age of 38 and in honour of his memory this event began.
